Motorcyclist Joseph Shadix Killed in Crash on Lebanon Pike

A tragic accident occurred yesterday on Lebanon Pike, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The victim has been identified as Joseph Shadix, a 40-year-old resident of Nashville.
The crash took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. near Lynmeade Drive. According to preliminary investigations, it appears that Shadix was traveling eastbound at a high speed when he approached a curve in the road. Unfortunately, he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle and veered off the roadway.
The motorcycle then crossed two driveways before Shadix was thrown from his bike. Emergency services were called immediately, and he was rushed to Skyline Medical Center for treatment. Tragically, despite efforts to save him, Shadix succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital.
Authorities are currently working diligently to notify Shadix's family about this devastating incident.
At this time, there is no evidence suggesting that impairment played a role in the crash. Law enforcement officials will continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
