A motorcyclist was killed in Sioux Falls on Friday after colliding with a truck at the intersection of W 41st Street and S Ellis Road. The accident occurred at around 1:50 p.m., prompting authorities to close off the area for investigation.

According to reports, the motorcycle was traveling north when it collided with a southbound truck that was turning left. The male motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Sioux Falls Police Traffic Unit is leading the investigation into the incident. As of now, no names have been released and more information is expected in the coming days.
