A tragic incident occurred in Riverside on Tuesday, resulting in the death of a man involved in a three-car crash. According to a news release from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident took place at around 5:27 p.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway, just west of Cridge Street.

The CHP reported that a motorcyclist was riding a 2020 Kawasaki Ninja and splitting lanes when suddenly, the driver of a 2010 Acura TSX made an abrupt lane change and collided with him. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown into another lane where he was struck by an approaching semi-truck.

Tragically, the rider sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of this individual has not been released pending notification of their family members.

In a shocking turn of events, it was revealed that following the collision, instead of remaining at the scene as required by law, the driver of the Acura fled from authorities. The hit-and-run driver continued traveling westbound on State Route 91.

However, thanks to diligent investigative efforts by law enforcement officials, they were able to locate both the vehicle involved in this tragic incident and its driver. Surprisingly, it was discovered that behind-the-wheel during this fatal crash was actually a juvenile.

As investigators continue their work into this heartbreaking event, many questions remain unanswered regarding why exactly this young person chose to flee rather than stay and provide assistance or report what had happened.

This ongoing investigation will likely shed more light on these details as well as determine any potential charges or legal consequences for those involved in causing such devastation through their actions.

It is important for all drivers to remember their responsibility when operating vehicles on public roads – ensuring safety should always be paramount over any other concerns while driving.
