Four people were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, as well as one to Children's Hospital and two to Mercy Fairfield Hospital. The interstate reopened around 9 p.m.
Seven people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Colerain Township, Ohio on Monday night. The accident occurred on portions of I-275 and I-74 eastbound, which were shut down for more than two hours during the investigation by Colerain Police.
The Colerain Township Department of Fire and EMS were dispatched to the vicinity of I-275 at the 33-mile marker near the Colerain Avenue exit just before 6 p.m. However, they were advised from information provided by additional callers to the Hamilton County Communications Center that the accident was actually eastbound on I-275 at the 29.2-mile marker near the I-74 split eastbound.
Upon arrival, Colerain units found a multi-car accident across several lanes with multiple injuries. Four people were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, one to Children's Hospital, and two to Mercy Fairfield Hospital.
The interstate reopened around 9 p.m. Officials said there is no further patient information available at this time. This is a breaking news story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
