Multi-vehicle crash injures three in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion

At least three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that caused significant damage in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion on Monday night. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. near 30th and Diamond streets. According to police, a red 2019 Dodge SUV hit a Subaru and lost control, causing it to crash into multiple parked cars, a traffic light, and an apartment building. The driver then fled the scene, leaving behind his passenger and a trail of wreckage, including a hole in the apartment building.
A neighbor who lives across the street, described the crash as sounding like an explosion. "The whole inside of that building was pushed in. Parts of the building hanging out. People come outside scrambling, trying to help people out the red Dodge," Tillery said. The building was evacuated and is now being evaluated by the Department of Licenses and Inspections.

Fortunately, everyone survived the wreck, and neighbors agree that it could have been much worse. "A whole lot of my neighbors' cars are all messed up," said Mickey Shields. "I'm glad there was nobody on the corner waiting for the bus over there."
