Martha Alicia Cervantes Inzunza Among 10 Injured in Phoenix Multi-Vehicle Crash

10 people were injured, one person died
On Saturday afternoon, a multi-vehicle crash occurred in Phoenix resulting in one fatality and nine injuries. The incident took place near 67th Avenue and Coolidge Street around 12:45 p.m.
According to the police report, three cars were traveling north when one driver attempted to pass another vehicle but lost control. This caused the driver to collide with the other two cars before going into oncoming traffic where they hit two vehicles heading south.
Phoenix Fire Department confirmed that ten people were injured as a result of this accident. Among them was Martha Alicia Cervantes Inzunza, aged 68 years old who later passed away at the hospital due to her injuries. The others involved had non-life-threatening injuries.
The authorities suspect that speed and impairment may have been contributing factors leading up to this collision. An investigation is currently underway.
