A crash involving multiple vehicles caused a temporary shutdown of parts of Interstate 20 in DeKalb County. The incident occurred around noon on the eastbound lanes of I-20 between Wesley Chapel and Panola roads, according to officials.
SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene and observed an overturned vehicle on the side of the interstate, while another vehicle appeared to be a tractor-trailer truck. Police have blocked off the interstate as emergency vehicles work at the site.
Despite clearing up after some time, traffic is still backed up on I-20 up to I-285. Drivers should expect major delays and plan alternate routes if possible.
The cause of the accident remains unknown, but authorities are investigating further. No injuries or fatalities were reported at this time.
