Two people are in critical condition and several others have injuries following a collision involving a bus and vehicle in Laie. Police are investigating the incident.
A collision between a bus and a vehicle in Laie has left two individuals in critical condition and several others with injuries. The incident, currently under investigation by the police, has prompted traffic to be contra flowed from Kamehameha Highway through Malaekahana State Recreation Area.
According to the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, a total of six people were injured in the accident. At this time, their ages and genders have not yet been identified. All of the injured individuals were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. Among them, two are reported to be in critical condition, two are listed as being in serious condition, while the remaining two sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are working diligently to determine the cause of this unfortunate collision that resulted in severe injuries for some involved parties. As investigations continue at the scene of the accident, traffic is being redirected through Malaekahana State Recreation Area via contra flow measures on Kamehameha Highway.
