Multiple injuries and significant vehicular damage
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, a serious two-vehicle collision occurred in the vicinity of Hwy 6 & 50 and 24 ¾ Road in Grand Junction, Colorado. The incident took place at around 12:20 PM.
The collision involved a truck traveling westbound that crossed over the center median and collided with an SUV heading eastbound. The impact resulted in multiple injuries and significant damage to both vehicles.
Upon receiving the report, the Grand Junction Fire Department promptly arrived at the scene to assist. They successfully extricated an adult female driver who was trapped inside the SUV.
All individuals involved in the accident were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. This includes the male driver of the truck, as well as the female driver and two juvenile passengers from the SUV. Their injuries are reported to be serious.
Authorities are currently investigating various factors surrounding this crash, including whether or not driver impairment played a role in causing it.
