Multiple People Hospitalized After Car Accident in North Phoenix
Several individuals have been hospitalized following a car accident that occurred in north Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Phoenix Fire Department, the incident took place at the intersection of Desert Cove Avenue and Tatum Boulevard, which is located north of Shea Boulevard.
The collision involved two vehicles, resulting in three pedestrians being struck by one of the cars. Additionally, one of the drivers sustained injuries during the initial crash. Emergency officials promptly transported two pedestrians and the driver to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
Tragically, one of the pedestrians—a man in his 40s—is currently listed as being in extremely critical condition. Furthermore, responders had to extricate an individual who was trapped beneath one of the vehicles involved.
As a result of this accident investigation, Tatum Boulevard has been closed from Shea Boulevard to Desert Cove Avenue indefinitely. Authorities are diligently working to determine what factors contributed to this unfortunate incident.
Motorists are advised to avoid this area until further notice due to road closures caused by this ongoing investigation.
