Multiple People Injured in Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-95 in Darien

People riding in the car that was struck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Several individuals sustained minor injuries in a tractor-trailer crash that involved two cars on I-95 in Darien. The accident occurred this morning, temporarily closing the right lane between exits 12 and 13. However, Department of Transportation officials confirmed that the lane was cleared just before 8 a.m.
According to the tractor-trailer driver, he was driving in the right lane when he attempted to avoid a vehicle that was cut off by another car. Unfortunately, he ended up hitting the car that was cut off and the guard rail.
Fire officials reported that the people riding in the car that was struck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No fatalities were reported.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
