Multiple Vehicle Accident Causes Traffic Delays on I-75 in Marietta

Late Saturday night, an accident occurred on I-75 Southbound between South Marietta Parkway and Delk Road, causing significant traffic delays. According to officials, multiple vehicles collided with an overturned power/bucket truck, resulting in the closure of at least three lanes of traffic.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported thus far. However, officials are warning drivers to expect delays in the area until midnight or later as responders work to clear the roadway.
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has provided credit for the image of the accident scene, which shows the extent of the traffic backup. Further updates on the situation will be provided as they become available.
