Westbound lanes near Kingston, Tennessee have reopened following a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday morning. The incident took place near U.S. Highway 27 and Emory Gap, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The crash involved multiple commercial vehicles, one of which was carrying cases of watermelon fruit. The accident caused temporary lane closures with troopers arriving at the scene before 9 a.m., as reported by THP Knoxville's tweet at 8:42 a.m.
Drivers were advised to follow instructions from law enforcement officials for safer commutes while they worked diligently to investigate and reopen roads.
