New York State Trooper Injured in Crash on Boston State Road

Both suffered minor injuries and are being treated at ECMC
A New York State Trooper and another individual were injured in a crash on Boston State Road near South Abbott Road and Herman Hill on Thursday, according to State Police. The trooper was responding to a call without emergency lights when the incident occurred.
The accident took place just after 4 p.m. on Thursday. On the other side of the road, there was start-and-stop traffic, causing one of the cars in that lane to veer and collide with the trooper's vehicle.
Both the trooper and the other person involved sustained minor injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC). Additionally, another individual was taken to Oishei Children’s Hospital for medical attention.
Authorities are investigating what caused the driver to veer into the trooper's path.
