New Windsor woman hospitalized after car collides with tractor-trailer

A 62-year-old woman from New Windsor is currently hospitalized with serious injuries after her car collided with a tractor-trailer in Newburgh on Thursday morning. According to Town of Newburgh police, the accident occurred when the woman passed a red light at the intersection of Routes 300 and 52 just after 11 a.m., colliding into the tractor-trailer.
The woman was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center for treatment while the truck driver, a 42-year-old man from Wurtsboro, escaped unharmed. Police are urging any witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward and call them at 845-564-1100.
