2 NYPD officers and 1 person injured in car crash in the Bronx

An NYPD vehicle collided with a white Jeep Cherokee in the Bronx on Monday, injuring two officers and another person. The incident occurred at around 6:20 p.m. on East 149th Street and Brook Avenue in the Mott Haven section of the borough.
According to police reports, the officers were responding to a call for assistance from fellow NYPD officers when they crashed into the Jeep Cherokee. Surveillance videos show that the police car was going the wrong way on Brook Avenue before t-boning the other vehicle as it attempted to cross an intersection.
Both officers involved in the accident were assigned to New York City's 40th Precinct and suffered minor injuries. They were taken to Lincoln Hospital for treatment while the driver inside of the Jeep was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
The cause of this collision is still under investigation by authorities.
