Ocean County man killed in Hillsborough workplace accident

Authorities are investigating a workplace accident that resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man from Ocean County on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at around 7:27 am on Willow Road, Hillsborough Township, involving heavy machinery.
Upon arrival at the scene, police found the victim dead with no chance for lifesaving measures due to severe injuries sustained. The name of the deceased has not been released yet as authorities are still notifying family members.
The New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner's Office will conduct a postmortem examination to determine the cause and manner of death. No further details about the accident have been disclosed by authorities.
Several agencies responded to investigate this tragic event, including detectives from Hillsborough Township Police Department and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Investigation Unit, New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office along with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Safety and Compliance Enforcement Officer.
