Police Officer Struck in Traffic Accident at Horizon City Intersection
According to the latest update from police, a traffic accident occurred earlier today at the intersection of Darrington and Horizon Boulevard in Horizon City, Texas. The incident involved a vehicle that struck an off-duty police officer who was conducting traffic control in the area.
The report states that TRI State and the Texas Department of Transportation were also present at the scene along with other off-duty officers who were assisting with traffic control. Police have confirmed that lanes will remain closed for another three hours as they continue their investigation.
The collision took place around 10:23 a.m., and both driver and officer were transported to hospital for medical evaluation.
