Off-Road Vehicle Accident Injures Two Juveniles

One serious injury, one minor injury
Indiana Conservation officers are currently conducting an investigation into an off-road vehicle accident that occurred in Jennings County, resulting in injuries to two juveniles. The incident took place near the 9000 block of County Road 850 West in Paris Crossing and was reported to the police shortly after 11 a.m.
According to initial findings from the investigation, a 14-year-old juvenile was operating a side-by-side ORV on the roadway when they lost control of the vehicle. This caused it to roll onto its driver's side, trapping them underneath. It is worth noting that neither of the juveniles involved were wearing helmets or safety harnesses at the time of the accident.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance. The operator of the ORV was then transported via StatFlight helicopter to Norton Hospital located in Louisville for further treatment due to serious injuries sustained during the incident. Meanwhile, the passenger, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and care.
The Indiana Conservation officers will continue their investigation into this off-road vehicle accident as they work towards determining all relevant factors contributing to this unfortunate event.
