Two Trapped in Salem Crash: Zachariah J. Miller and Patrick C. Stone

Both occupants transported to hospitals in critical condition
The Washington County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a one-car crash that occurred in Salem, New York. The incident took place on July 14th at approximately 8:54 a.m.
According to the police, officers who responded to the scene discovered a 2008 Subaru on County Route 153 that had collided with a tree. Unfortunately, two individuals were trapped inside the vehicle as a result of the crash.
Emergency services including Salem Fire and EMS, along with Cambridge Valley Rescue, worked diligently to free both occupants from the wreckage. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Zachariah J. Miller, aged 19 and hailing from Shushan. Miller was immediately transported to Glens Falls Hospital due to his critical condition and injuries sustained during the accident which included head trauma, chest injuries, and internal wounds.
Patrick C. Stone, an 18-year-old resident of Salem who was seated in the front passenger seat at the time of impact also suffered severe injuries. Stone was flown by LifeNet medical helicopter to Albany Medical Center where he remains in critical condition receiving treatment for head trauma as well as injuries affecting his chest and lower body.
