One Dead, Nearly a Dozen Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95 in Miami

One person was killed and nine others were injured.
A multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Miami has left one person dead and nearly a dozen others injured. The accident, which involved eight vehicles, occurred at around 2:10 a.m. in the southbound lanes near NW 62nd Street.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a black Tesla sedan was heading south when they lost control and hit the concrete barrier wall. The disabled car then blocked the roadway and was struck by a black Dodge sedan. On impact, the driver of the Tesla was thrown from their vehicle and landed on the road.
An oncoming white Nissan attempted to avoid running over the man but was struck by a Chevy SUV instead. As a result of this collision, the Nissan ran over him. A series of minor crashes then occurred between several other vehicles including two SUVs and a tow truck.
The driver of the Tesla died at the scene while nine others were injured. One man is currently being treated at Ryder Trauma Center in serious condition while four adults are listed as stable at Jackson Memorial Hospital; four others refused treatment.
Southbound traffic on I-95 backed up for miles following this incident causing delays for more than six hours until FHP cleared it at 8:45 am local time.
The cause of this deadly accident remains unknown as authorities continue their investigation into what happened that night along one busy stretch near downtown Miami-Dade County where tragedy struck unexpectedly without warning or explanation yet given by officials handling such matters today
