One Dead and Two Injured in Motorcycle-Truck Crash in Imlay City
On Sunday, May 28th, a tragic accident occurred in Imlay City, Michigan resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to two others. At approximately 2:18 p.m., a husband and wife were traveling northbound on separate motorcycles - a traditional two-wheel bike and a can-am Spyder (three-wheeled motorcycle) - when they approached the south driveway to the Kroger entrance where traffic was backed up.
As several vehicles were turning into the Kroger parking lot from the right lane, a black F-150 was turning left. Unfortunately, the driver of the F-150 did not see the motorcyclists heading north. The woman driving the Spyder struck the driver's side cab and box side of the F-150.
Despite wearing her helmet at that time, she was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities while her husband suffered from a broken leg.
