One person hospitalized with critical injuries

One person has been seriously injured following a crash involving a passenger car and a semi-truck on the Midvalley Highway in Tooele County, Utah. The incident occurred when the semi-truck was traveling northwest on Parachute Lane, turning left onto the westbound highway, colliding with the passenger car.

Sgt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol reported that "the driver of the car was hospitalized with critical injuries." However, no injuries were sustained by the driver of the semi-truck.

As a result of this accident, eastbound lanes will be closed until 10 or 11 am while state troopers investigate and clean up at the scene.

Further details about this incident are yet to be released by authorities.
