One-Vehicle Crash in Brown County Leaves Driver Dead

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic one-vehicle crash that occurred in Brown County, resulting in the death of the driver. The incident took place on Tuesday at approximately 7:40 p.m.
According to reports, a 1996 Ford F150 pickup was traveling north on 384th Avenue, located about five miles northwest of Aberdeen when it veered off the road and entered a ditch. Subsequently, the vehicle rolled over.
Tragically, the driver of the pickup truck, identified as a 55-year-old male, was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. As a result, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have chosen not to release his name until family members have been notified.
It is important to note that all information provided thus far is preliminary as investigations are still ongoing. The South Dakota Highway Patrol will continue their efforts to determine what factors may have contributed to this devastating crash.
