One Woman Dead in Early Morning Car Crash in Memphis

One woman dead, man taken to hospital in non-critical condition
The Memphis Police Department (MPD) reported that one woman died in a car crash early this morning. The accident involved two vehicles and occurred around 7 a.m. near Swinnea Rd. and Runway Rd. in Memphis.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found one woman who was pronounced dead. A man who was also involved in the accident was taken to Regional One Hospital with non-critical injuries.
MPD is advising commuters in the area to take an alternate route this morning. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
