Overturned Semi-Truck Halts Traffic in Provo Canyon

On Wednesday afternoon, an overturned semi-truck caused a major traffic disruption in Provo Canyon, Utah County. The incident occurred on U.S. Route 189 near mile marker 26 around noon, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
The semi-truck was traveling beneath a bridge when its trailer collided with the overpass due to being too tall. The truck was carrying dirt at the time of the accident, and as a result of the collision, debris struck a passing car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Efforts were swiftly made to clear the roadway and restore normal traffic flow. By approximately 1 p.m., authorities had successfully resolved the situation and reopened westbound lanes for motorists.
