Traffic backup
Raleigh, North Carolina - An overturned truck caused major traffic delays on Interstate 40 at Avent Ferry Road in Raleigh. The crash resulted in trash being scattered all over the interstate in both directions. As a result, the authorities had to reduce the interstate to one lane in both directions.
The police urged drivers to find an alternate route as the crash caused a significant backup. Tryon Road and Glenwood Avenue were suggested as possible ways to get around the crash. Officers on the scene are working to determine if the tractor-trailer hit the median or the bridge, causing the accident.
Fortunately, a few lanes of westbound 40 have since reopened, but the authorities are still working to clear the debris from the accident.
