One person died

Authorities have confirmed that one person has died after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in Aiken. The incident occurred at 2108 Piper Road around 6:44 a.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The victim's identity has not yet been released, and authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. The Aiken County Coroner’s Office is also on the scene conducting their own investigation.
