Pedestrian pronounced dead at the scene
The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported car crash involving a personal injury at around 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The incident occurred near 230 Church Avenue in Ballston, New York.
According to the authorities, a pedestrian was hit by a 2017 Honda Civic that was headed north on Church Avenue. The victim was already lying in the road when the car struck them. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police have not released the identities of the victim or the driver. They are holding off on releasing more information until the victim's family has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office.
