Pedestrian Killed in Downtown Cincinnati Crash

Pedestrian pronounced dead at the scene
Southbound Interstate 75 in Downtown Cincinnati has been reopened after a fatal accident that occurred early Wednesday morning. According to reports from the Ohio Department of Transportation and a spokesperson for the Cincinnati police, a pedestrian was killed in the crash which took place at around 5:45 am near Seventh Street.
Lieutenant Jonathan Cunningham confirmed that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. The southbound lanes were closed during rush hour as emergency services attended to the situation.
ODOT tweeted an update stating that all lanes had been opened again by approximately 11:45 am. The accident involved only one vehicle, which collided with and trapped under it, an unidentified pedestrian who lost their life in this tragic event.
Further details regarding this incident are yet to be released by authorities.
