Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident in Chicago

Pedestrian suffered serious injuries, vehicle did not stop
Chicago police have issued a community alert following a hit-and-run incident that left a pedestrian seriously injured on the city's West Side. The incident occurred on Saturday night in the 4700-block of West Lake Street in West Garfield Park. According to authorities, the victim was crossing the street when they were struck by a vehicle traveling east on Lake. The vehicle did not stop after hitting the person.
The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Chicago Police Department (CPD) has described the vehicle involved as a possibly silver four-door sedan with tinted windows and a sunroof. It could be either a Chevy Malibu or Ford Fusion, and it likely has front-end damage.
To aid their investigation, CPD released an image of the vehicle involved, which appears to show a silver sedan. Anyone who may have information about this incident is urged to contact the Major Accident Investigation Unit at (312) 745-4521.
