Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Cement Truck in Ontario

A tragic incident occurred in Ontario on Friday morning, resulting in the death of a pedestrian who was possibly riding a bicycle. According to officials, the accident took place around 8:35 a.m. near the eastbound 60 Freeway on ramp at Archibald Avenue. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) provided details about the incident.
The driver of a cement truck involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He informed officers that he believes he struck the victim while they were crossing in a designated crosswalk. Afterward, the driver pulled over onto the on ramp where a bicycle trapped beneath his truck.
Closer to the crosswalk, observers noticed a yellow tarp which is presumed to have covered the victim's body. As part of their investigation into this tragic event, CHP closed down access to the on ramp temporarily.
At present, no further information has been released regarding specific details surrounding this crash.
