The eastbound side of the highway was fully closed between exits 30 and 31 for hours on Tuesday morning. It has since fully reopened.
Interstate 84 East in Southington, Connecticut has reopened following a serious accident involving a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred near exit 31 at approximately 1:45 a.m., prompting troopers to respond.
According to state police, the collision resulted in significant injuries for the pedestrian. In response, the accident reconstruction team was dispatched to the scene as investigations into the incident continue.
For several hours on Tuesday morning, the eastbound side of Interstate 84 experienced full closure between exits 30 and 31. However, it has since been fully reopened for traffic.
