Driver of Smaller Vehicle Flown to Hospital After Pickup Truck Crashes into Tractor Trailer in Clifton

A pickup truck collided with a tractor trailer on Tuesday night, resulting in one man being flown to the hospital. The accident caused the closure of part of Route 9 for several hours.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred when the driver of the pickup truck crossed over into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into the tractor trailer. Emergency responders were present at the scene as LifeFlight prepared to transport the injured driver.
