Police Investigate Crash on Daniel Carter Beard Bridge over Ohio River
Police are investigating a crash that occurred during Wednesday's morning rush hour, leaving a pickup truck hanging off the edge of the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge over the Ohio River. The incident happened near Newport Levee and was reported just after 7 a.m., according to Campbell County dispatch.
Fortunately, no immediate injuries were reported at the scene. However, it caused quite a shock for morning drivers and resulted in significant traffic congestion for motorists heading out of northern Kentucky into Downtown Cincinnati.
The cause of this accident is still unknown as police continue their investigation. Motorists are advised to avoid this area until further notice.
