Building damage, no injuries reported

Crews were called to the scene on Friday morning to board up a Wells Fargo bank in Orinda, California after a police squad car crashed into the building. The incident occurred on Thursday night at the intersection of Moraga Way and Camino Pablo.

Details surrounding the crash remain unclear, but according to a witness, it is believed that an Orinda police officer may have been involved in a car chase just before midnight.

Orinda Police have not yet provided further information regarding the incident. However, early Friday morning, a severely damaged police car with bricks from Wells Fargo was seen at their headquarters.

Crews arrived at 1 a.m. to assess whether there was any structural damage to the bank and proceeded to board up windows as necessary. Glass shards littered the sidewalk outside, along with visible tire marks near the entrance.

Despite this unexpected occurence, business resumed as usual for Wells Fargo customers as they opened their doors promptly at 9 a.m.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing as authorities work towards determining exactly how this collision occurred and if any charges will be filed against those involved.
