Portland Bicyclist Adam Joy Killed in Crash with Truck near Wheatland

Joy was pronounced dead on the scene
A tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 55-year-old bicyclist from Portland. According to Oregon State Police, Adam Joy was riding his bicycle south near milepost 11.5 on Highway 221 when he collided with a Ford F350 truck.
The driver of the truck had slowed down while attempting to pass Joy at around 11:38 a.m., but unfortunately, Joy fell over and was run over by the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck remained on-site and cooperated with investigators. The road where the incident took place was closed for six hours as police conducted their investigation.
This unfortunate event has left many in shock and mourning for Joy's loss.
