David Colvin and Tony Lineweber involved in Rear-end Collision in Beatrice

A rear-end collision occurred on Friday afternoon just south of Beatrice, and weather conditions are believed to have played a role. According to reports, a northbound vehicle had slowed down due to poor visibility caused by heavy rain on U.S. Highway 77 when it was hit from behind by another northbound vehicle.
The driver of the first car has been identified as David Colvin from Wymore while the second car's driver is Tony Lineweber from rural Beatrice. Colvin sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment.
Gage County Sheriff’s officers and Beatrice Fire and Rescue responded promptly to the scene of the crash which happened at around 5:13 p.m., Friday. The estimated total damage caused by this incident amounts to $4,000.
