Road rage shooting and crash injures five in Stoughton

An argument between two individuals in a Canton convenience store on Wednesday night led to a road rage shooting and crash in Stoughton, Massachusetts. According to the police, after the altercation, a road rage incident occurred which resulted in gunfire and an accident at Plain Street and West Street intersection around 9:15 p.m.
The driver of a car allegedly fired shots at the driver of an SUV during the incident. The car then collided with a pickup truck as it passed through the intersection. A witness said that "the white SUV showed up on scene after the accident, and he was the one who got out of the car yelling that they had shot him or whatever."
Police believe someone from inside the car fired shots before colliding with another vehicle. Five people were transported to local hospitals including one person who sustained gunshot wounds but all have since been released.
"At this time, there is nothing for public concern," stated Deputy Chief Brian Holmes of Stoughton Police Department. "It's contained to those involved in this incident." No immediate arrests have been made yet.
The crash site was located along two residential streets of Stoughton where authorities are still investigating what happened leading up to this violent event.
