Rochester Man Identified as Victim in Deadly Crash

A tragic car accident in Dakota County, Minnesota has claimed the life of a young man from Rochester. The incident occurred earlier this month at an intersection in Vermillion Township, approximately 10 miles southwest of Hastings.
According to the Dakota County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the scene on Friday, July 7th around 6:45 a.m. The crash involved two vehicles, one traveling north on Goodwin Ave and the other heading south on Northfield Blvd.
Regrettably, one of the drivers did not survive the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The body was subsequently transported to Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office for further examination.
On Tuesday afternoon, autopsy results were released by the medical examiner identifying the victim as Aaron Juwan Woods, a 24-year-old resident of Rochester. The report confirmed that Woods died instantly from blunt force injuries sustained during impact.
The cause of this fatal accident has been determined as an accident by authorities. Our thoughts go out to Aaron Juwan Woods' family and friends during this difficult time as they mourn their loss.
