Rochester Police Investigate Shots Fired and Stolen Vehicle Crash

Rochester police are investigating an incident that involved shots being fired on Aberdeen Street and a stolen vehicle crashing into another car on Child Street. According to reports from RPD, officers were called to Aberdeen Street after receiving reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, they discovered that a red Kia had been involved in the shooting and was suspected to be stolen. Officers spotted what appeared to be the same car but lost it shortly afterward. The Kia eventually crashed near Campbell Street and Child Street.

Two males who were inside the car fled from the scene but were later apprehended by law enforcement officials. A rifle was also recovered from them during their arrest.

It is currently unclear if anyone was injured as a result of the gunfire or crash. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact 911 immediately.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
