Crews Respond to Rollover Crash on I-79 in Marion County
Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash on Tuesday evening, which occurred on I-79 in Marion County. The incident involved multiple cars and took place just before 7 p.m. at the exit 133 off-ramp.
Upon arriving at the scene, responders from Valley Volunteer Fire Department found a pickup truck overturned and another car with front-end damage. The off-ramp was blocked as emergency crews worked to clear up the accident site.
The cleanup operation lasted for approximately two hours before officials were able to declare the area safe again. Fortunately, no injuries were reported by Valley VFD.
West Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of this multi-car crash that caused significant traffic disruption during rush hour. Additional photos of the accident can be viewed via social media posts related to this incident.
