State Police Confirm Route 8 Reopened After Tractor-Trailer Crash
According to state police, Route 8 in Colebrook has reopened following a tractor-trailer crash that occurred on Monday evening. The accident happened between Riverton Road and Beech Hill Road at around 7:20 p.m.
The tractor-trailer reportedly crashed into a tree and wires, causing about 100 Eversource customers to lose power temporarily. However, their power was restored soon after the incident.
Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the crash and the driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries. Troopers have confirmed that "the highway has fully reopened" but provided no further details regarding the cause of the accident.
