Ryan Green Injured in Truck and Train Collision in McCracken County

Ryan Green was taken to an area hospital for treatment of incapacitating injuries.
A man was injured in a crash involving a truck and a train on Friday morning, June 2. The incident occurred at the 2600 block of Krebs Station Road in McCracken County, Kentucky.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 7:11 a.m. after receiving reports of a train that hit a truck at the railroad crossing just west of Husband Road. According to deputies, an inbound P&L Railroad train was passing through the intersection when the traffic control devices were activated with flashing red lights and bells.
Ryan Green, aged 39 from Paducah, was driving his GMC pickup westbound on Krebs Station Road when he drove through the intersection and collided with the train. He sustained incapacitating injuries as per Hendron Fire Department who extricated him from his vehicle before taking him to an area hospital for treatment.
Deputies cited Green for disregarding railroad crossing flasher lights which led to this accident. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Hendron Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance, Jason’s Collision Center and P&L Railroad at the scene of this unfortunate event.
