San Jose Police Arrest Driver Responsible for Fatal DUI Accident
The San Jose Police Department has apprehended the individual believed to be responsible for a tragic accident that resulted in one fatality and severe injuries. The incident occurred on Thursday morning when the driver, under the influence of alcohol, ran a red light at the intersection of Capitol Expressway and Snell Avenue around 1 a.m.
Upon running the red light, the driver collided with another vehicle carrying two men, causing them to be ejected from their car. Tragically, one of the men succumbed to his injuries at the hospital while the other remains in critical condition but stabilized.
Law enforcement officials have charged the driver with driving under the influence (DUI) and vehicular manslaughter. This arrest serves as a reminder of how crucial it is for pedestrians and drivers alike to work together in order to prevent such accidents.
