Semi Driver Efrain Duran Crashes and Escapes Fire on I-29 in Fargo

The semi and trailer were destroyed, and the driver was cited for 'failure to maintain a single lane'.
Traffic along I-29 is moving again after a semi crashed and caught fire near exit 50, half a mile south of Hickson/Oxbow exit. The incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
According to the ND Highway Patrol, the driver of the southbound semi lost control in a construction zone, hitting water barrels and concrete barriers before tipping over onto its side and catching fire. The driver has been identified as Efrain Duran, aged 69 from McAllen Texas.
Duran was cited with "failure to maintain a single lane" but was able to escape thanks to witnesses at the scene. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident.
The International truck and trailer were destroyed by the flames which also engulfed automotive parts being transported by Duran's vehicle. As yet there is no word on what caused him to lose control of his vehicle.
Highway Patrol officials are investigating this accident further while traffic flow returns back to normalcy along I-29.
