Arrivals drive reopened
SEATAC, Wash. — On Monday night, a semi-truck blocked the arrivals drive at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The airport posted about the incident on Twitter around 7:30 p.m., stating, "Sorry for the interruption tonight. ⚠️ The lower arrivals drive is closed right now as there is a semi truck stuck there. Tip-don't drive a semi on the airport drive. It can't go under the skybridges. We're in the process of getting it backed out so we can reopen the drive soon."
Due to this obstruction, the airport had to back out the semi-truck and temporarily shut down the arrivals drive. However, by approximately 10 p.m., they announced that normal operations had resumed and that the arrivals drive was open again.
Concerns were raised regarding flight delays caused by this incident.
The incident caused inconvenience for travelers and disrupted airport operations briefly but was resolved without further complications or significant impact on flight schedules.
