Semi-Truck Hits Bridge, Shuts Down Southbound Lanes of I-35 in Travis County

Southbound lanes shut down to check integrity of the bridge.
The southbound lanes of northern Interstate 35 just north of Austin were closed on Saturday morning due to an incident where a semi-truck hit the bridge. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were working on the collision at I-35 and Grand Avenue Parkway.
As of 12:40 p.m., two of the southbound lanes have been reopened. However, Round Rock Police stated that Grand Avenue Parkway would remain closed until further notice. The Travis County Sheriff’s Office mentioned that the southbound lanes were shut down in order to check the integrity of the bridge.
