Semi-Truck Spills Glue on I-96 in Lyon Township

The westbound side of the freeway remains closed. It is unknown when the freeway will reopen.
A semi-truck driver lost control and spilled glue on I-96 after a driver allegedly cut him off Monday morning. The incident occurred near Milford Road in Lyon Township, Oakland County, Michigan around 9:35 a.m.
According to the police, the driver cut in front of the semi-truck, causing him to lose control. The truck veered right, hit the metal barrier, and got stuck on top of it. The driver was not injured in the accident.
Heavy tows are at the scene Monday afternoon to stabilize the truck and stop it from going into the ditch. As of 1:30 p.m., the westbound side of the freeway remains closed. It is unknown when the freeway will reopen.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will evaluate the damage to the guard rail once the truck is removed and the glue is cleaned up.
The incident caused a major traffic jam in the area, and drivers are advised to avoid the area until the freeway is reopened.
