Semitrailer Rollover Causes Traffic Issues in Oklahoma City

Ramp reopened and traffic resumed
A semitrailer rollover caused traffic issues and a ramp at a major Oklahoma City interchange to be closed for several hours on Thursday. The incident occurred around 4:05 a.m., when the semitrailer crashed while maneuvering the curve on the eastbound Interstate 40 off-ramp to Interstate 44.
Authorities promptly closed the ramp as crews worked diligently to clear the scene, resulting in significant traffic congestion during morning rush hour. Aerial footage of the scene showed a rolled-over semitrailer lying on its side. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers were seen blocking off the ramp while crews labored to upright the vehicle.
Fortunately, by approximately 2:20 p.m., officials from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation announced that they had reopened the off-ramp and traffic was once again flowing through that section of road.
